Food Production - Tilcara, Jujuy Province, Argentina
La Huerta Tambo is a family owned brand that was founded in 2016 with the aim of intensifying and professionalizing the derivates and other goat milk productions. The idea is to lead the national market and achieve an outstanding position internationally. Currently, we produce hard and semi-hard cheese, fresh cheeses, ricotta and dulce de leche. We are continuously developing new products! La Huerta is located in the town of Huacalera, Jujuy. It's an area of exceptional natural beauty due to its geographical wealth and cultural heritage which is characteristic of La Quebrada de Humahuaca. Millennial Omaguaca and Inca cultures arrived to these lands and left a cultural legacy that is kept alive today through beliefs, rituals, festivities, art, music, agricultural techniques and food customs. Thanks to the Spaniards, the native people acquired the technique of goat rearing which resulted vital for their subsistence. From this derived the ancient artisanal technique of making goat cheese, known as "queso de campo" or "queso criollo". We know about the benefits of a healthy diet and we believe our products, whose daily production processes are based on international standards and sustainable practices, fall into this category. We seek to achieve the right balance between the ancient traditions of our land and the modern technology of today to offer healthy products made with 100% pure goat milk. We are also very committed to the protection of the environment and with the well-being and development of our community.
