My lab operations knowledge stems from a unique understanding of multiple stakeholder groups: executives, principal investigators, equipment operators, equipment manufacturers, service providers, procurement, facilities and finance.I advise biotechs, CROs and big pharma on logistical, tactical and strategic approaches to lab operations. This includes aspects of instrumentation services, enterprise asset management and equipment lifecycle, with a view towards optimizing both the assets and the associated operations. Optimized Assets. Optimal Operations. Many asset management programs concentrate primarily on the delivery of service work (PM, Calibration, Break/Fix). The result is often a program that manages the work performed against the assets, but not the assets themselves. In my conversations with clients, I seek to reframe the typical maintenance-centric approach into a viewpoint that includes asset performance and reliability.
