Loughshore Access and Community Enterprise is a social enterprise business based in Maghery, Co. Armagh which delivers a broad range of sustainable health, community and socio-economic initiatives across the whole South Lough Neagh area. LACE directs its services to those who would not normally be able to access or afford them, such as those from a socio-economic deprived group or those marginalized and socially excluded because of physical or intellectual ability, age, ethnic origin, or religious or cultural beliefs. The area LACE covers includes the three local government wards; The Birches, Derrytrasna and Aghagallon which are all in the rural area of Craigavon Borough Council. LACE offers reasonably priced skilled work to people not able to do their own minor house repairs, decorating and gardening or domestic cleaning. LACE also offers community support services, such as advocacy and befriending. LACE aims to create jobs for people who would otherwise be unemployed; providing vital services for people who might not access them otherwise; protecting the environment and reinvesting surpluses back into community projects. This venture builds on the 15 years of commitment and dedication by our community volunteers, working together to solve social problems, improve our communities and our peoples' life chances.
