Ladgroup limited is a model company in the Agro allied sector in Nigeria, dedicated to marketing and processing of Agro commodities. The company started business in 1972 by exporting agricultural produce, namely Ginger, Sheanuts, Coffee and Gum Arabic. Ladgroup became highly successful in exports and was the largest exporter of Sheanuts and Cocoa in the 70's and 80's, winning two major awards from the Nigerian Export Import Bank (NEXIM) namely "Best Exporter of the Year" and "Best Cocoa Exporter".Ladgroup has built a state of the art Sheanut Processing Factory in Ikenne, Ogun State to process Sheanuts into Shea butter. The factory is pioneer and the first of its kind in Nigeria for large scale processing of Sheanuts. The factory contributes significantly to the economy through its contribution to non-oil export earnings of the country and direct and indirect employment generation which impacts to a large extent the rural economy where numerous people are engaged in the trade. The factory commenced operations early 2018, with an intake capacity of processing 39,000 metric tons per annum of Sheanuts. The factory consists of an Oil Mill, Solvent Extraction Plant, and a Pelleting Plant and is designed to crush other Oil Seeds like Palm Kernel, Groundnut and Soya Beans.The company's 47-year experience has been motivated by a pioneering spirit, coupled with a demand for excellence, integrity, and an uncompromising insistence on quality. Ladgroup's name is respected nationally and internationally as a supplier of repute. This respect is hard won, and Ladgroup has built and maintained its most enviable reputation over many years.
