Non-profit Charity to Serve Maui County Children and Veterans. The Lahaina Arts Guild was established in 2018 by members of the Lahaina Arts Society (LAS) to fill a community need for artistic programs to enrich the members of the Maui County community. Historically, LAS provided free, on-site art classes and activities to children living in Maui County. Classes began at the Banyan Tree Gallery and the Old Jail Gallery in the historic Old Lahaina Courthouse in the 1970s. The Lahaina Arts Guild continues this tradition through providing skills-based art classes for children of all ages, and with funding, expand to bring the world of art to our military veterans with Veterans Art Exploration Program. Local artists are used as teachers and mentors for our classes. Further expansion of our efforts include an Annual High School Art Competition, Exhibition and Scholarship Awards Program with help through your donations.
