Lake Baikal Foundation Details
Lake Baikal Foundation for Environmental Applications and Research is a Russian non-governmental organization which pursues charitable and scientific-research goals for conservation and sustainable development of the Baikal natural area. The Foundation implements natural-science and humanitarian projects in cooperation with research institutes, natural protected areas, public organizations. Lake Baikal Foundation supports fundamental and applied research directed at analyzing and resolving environmental problems of lake Baikal and also at revealing the lake's potential for scientific, technological and social innovations. The Foundation was established on November 22, 2016. Funding is provided by private donations and corporate partners.
