Lake Oswego School Distirct Foundation Details
The Lake Oswego School Distirct Foundation is an independent, non-profit 501C3 that was organized in 1986 to support Lake Oswego schools. Our mission is "Investing in public education to give students unmatched opportunities to flourish." Ninety percent of all money donated to the Foundation goes to the Lake Oswego School District to cover the difference in state funding, as Lake Oswego students get about $1,000 less than other students in the state due to Measure 5. The Foundation has raised over $35 million since 1986. These funds are raised primarily from local community individuals who value education. Other revenue sources are local businesses programs, corporate matching funds, and an endowment fund.
