Lake Wildwood Association was established on March 3rd, 1968. It is a private, gated community that is centrally located between Chicago and Peoria, just north of Varna, Illinois. With over 1,400 acres of land, our country setting is abundant with wildlife such as deer, fox, hawks, geese, owls, ducks, bluebirds, raccoons, coyotes, and more!Lake Wildwood boasts two lakes. The largest, Lake Wildwood, is 220 acres and offers boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming. Lake Tanglewood is 18 acres and is strictly a fishing lake located near our private campground.Lake Wildwood Association is a homeowner's association governed by Restrictive Covenants, By-Laws, and Rules and Regulations. Members of the Association pay annual dues which entitles them to full use of all amenities.Throughout the year our Recreation Committee hosts a wide variety of events and activities, some of which include: Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Fireworks and Parade, Autumnfest, Halloween Bash, Christmas Family Event, New Year's Eve Dance, and much more!
