In 1985, Lakeland Technical Services was formed as a source for drafting and design services in a number of disciplines. Shortly after that, a relatively new piece of software, AutoCAD, was adopted as a tool to provide the clients of LTS with a more accurate and usable end product that could be modified quickly and easily. As the popularity of AutoCAD grew, the owners of LTS realized an opportunity to train the growing ranks users and customize the application for the many unique situations where it was employed. Since then, Lakeland Technical has assisted hundreds of companies, particularly in the manufacturing sector, in the adoption of Autodesk technology and streamlining their overall business operations. In February, 2016, Lakeland Technical Services merged into Engineering Design Systems of Roanoke, VA.The mission of Lakeland Technical Services is to help our customers increase their profits and reduce their time to market by the successful implementation of computer-aided design technology. We will accomplish this by being as knowledgeable as possible in the products we represent so the recommendations, training and customization we provide will be best in class. Above all, our actions will be based on integrity and honesty in dealing with our clients and partners.
