The Lamoille Prevention Campaign is a community coalition serving Lamoille County. Our Mission is to change community norms through collaboration with diverse community partners to prevent substance use, reduce substance abuse and to support safe and healthy personal choices. Through collaboration with community partners, encouraging broad and diverse representation, the coalition strives to change community norms. We work together to identify issues and develop evidence- based strategies that address those issues with a goal of optimum health and well-being in the community.The Campaign seeks to foster a community that: - strengthens the ability of families to learn about and engage in dialog about substance abuse and other prevention efforts; - encourages adults and youth to examine community norms, personal choices and attitudes surrounding substance use and abuse and other issues that affect health and well-being; - partners with other organizations around recognizing, promoting, and celebrating healthy choices;encourages and draws out the best in its citizens; provides resources, friendship and a place to connect around common concerns; and - respects diverse ideas and points of view, and supports citizen initiatives for promoting a safe and healthy community.
