Landcraft Services is an ecological habitat restoration and native plant horticulture/arboriculture business, We specialize in woodlot, meadow, wetland and urban green space restoration with a focus on control, mitigation and eradication of noxious and invasive plant and tree infestations, including but not limited to Japanese Knotweed, Poison Ivy, Wild Parsnip, Wild Chervil, Poison Sumac, Poison Oak, Buckthorns, Golden Bamboo, Russian Olive, Honeysuckles, Multiflora Rose, Winged Burning Bush, Oriental Bittersweet, Asiatic Tearthumb, Black Swallow-Wort, Eurasian Watermilfoil, Horsetail, Kudzu, Japanese Barberry, Field/Hedge Bindweed, Ground Elder, Virginia Creeper, Scots Pine, Norway Spruce, Tree of Heaven/Chinese Sumac, Black Locust, Nutsedges, Common Reed, brambles and thistles. Our proven methods integrate best practice methodology such as manual seed head removal, root system extraction, girdling, flame treatments, strategic trench barrier installations and growth suppression utilizing agro-textile fabrics and other material barriers, with proprietary colloidal liquid mineral suspensions applied via stem injection, foliar spray and soil drenches as well as remedial or deterrent soil amendments (applied via augered bore holes utilizing our Deep Root Dispersion™ system where subsoil/substratum invasive root system depth is a concern). In many cases, contaminated soil excavation or replacement is recommended. Replanting with site appropriate native plant species to deter future invasive infestations is always recommended. Many of the plants chosen for replanting projects and other installations are sourced from our central Vermont nursery.
