Landfriend is a European Enterprise based in Brussels launched in 2016 thanks to the EU Programme Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. Born as an e-commerce platform, Landfriend is a networking space interconnecting European SMEs of the agri-food sector directly with their consumers. Starting from the Istrian territory, Landfriend meets producers and selects their products according to EU sustainability criteria; consumers will choose their products from the website, consult with relevant information regarding the producer, the products' labels and related aspects of food processing. Landfriend aims to promote the economic development of the Croatian territory and to foster sustainable tourism; it supports ancient cultural traditions by using its digital competence, disseminating knowledge through communication and PR strategies, to establish a link between consumers' needs and food experience and revive employment through tourism and repopulation of campaigns.We made the first step.
