Mental Health Care - Monterey, California, United States
Monterey psychologist providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. Specializing in depression, anxiety, grief, and LGBT mental health.I have been working as a psychotherapist for approximately 10 years in a variety of settings. I have my doctorate (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology and am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 24971).I began my education at The University of California, Riverside where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Later I continued my education at San Diego State University where I earned my Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. And finally I earned both a Master's degree and Doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Alhambra. My clinical training has emphasized using a strengths based approach to psychotherapy with a focus on multicultural mental health. This means that I emphasize what is working in your life instead of emphasizing everything that is not working. I have worked directly with members of the LGBT community, people of color, and the elderly.
