Baltimore, Maryland AreaI founded Lanky Fight Gear in May of 2013 to fill a void in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu market for uniforms and training apparel designed for taller, thinner athletes. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a combative and sportive martial art that relies heavily on the use of the uniform, also known as a gi, to control and submit opponents. There are many companies that design and manufacturer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gis, but we are the first to focus on slim cut sizes with longer sleeve and pant length to prevent excess material from hindering athletes.We also design better fitting no gi gear (compression shirts and fight shorts), casual apparel, and accessories.In addition to Lanky Fight Gear, I also run Standard Kimono Company, which offers affordable and customizable gis for individuals and BJJ academies.
