Our mission is to include everyone in the Greater Lansing community in a quest for improved health and fitness, to benefit the Lansing area economically, to motivate and energize, and to make money. The Lansing Marathon is coordinated by Lansing Sports Management, Inc, a for-profit company formed in December, 2011. Lansing Sports Management operates road races and other sporting events around the world and manages a team of elite distance runners.The inaugural Lansing Marathon, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, took place on April 22, 2012. The third annual Lansing Marathon will take place on May 4, 2014.
