Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of Minnesota Lao families. We seek to increase the capacity of the Lao-American population in Minnesota by responding to community identified needs through developing programs and services that will promote the well-being of families and children while retaining their cultural heritage. The Lao Assistance Center of Minnesota (LACM), established by ethnic Lao in 1983, responds to urgent resettlement needs of over 3,000 families each year.
