At Larkspur Botanicals we are aiming to carve out a sustainable niche in the floral design industry. In addition to beautiful, locally sourced cut flowers we are also offering living arrangements that can grace tables at events, such as weddings, or would make a great holiday gift, and with a little love and care, last for years, compared to cut flowers, that only last for a few weeks. Besides the plants, we also aim to use pots, vases or vessels that have been found in thrift stores and garage sales, and re-purposed in some way. We also work with artisans locally and on Etsy to source vessels for the arrangements. We do this to keep the business at home, in America, and help support local communities and artists Larkspur Botanicals was spouted on the idea that floral designs should be friendlier to mother nature. We create all sorts of flower designs, rustic, country, European, modern, high fashion, contemporary and all sorts of mixes in between. So do other floral designers, the difference is that we do it better aesthetically and better for the environment. We pledge to buy locally grown flowers, never use floral foam (quite toxic), reuse materials and compost the floral remnants from a design. Besides cut flowers, we specialize in beautiful living arrangements that can grow for years after your event and would make for a lovely dual purpose flower arrangement and favor for your guests. Each vessel is either sourced from a "Made in America" supplier or re-purposed from treasures found at garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores. We do not source any of our floral materials from overseas, keeping our business local helps our neighbors and also keeps the overall price down.
