Nonprofit Organization Management - Danbury, Connecticut, United States
Non- Profit: In 1994 at Danbury High School, less than 20 percent of latino students were going on to higher education, the lowest percentage within any ethnic group. A group of concerned citizens decided to do something about it and The Latino Scholarship Fund (LSF) was born. Within six months the nonprofit raised $10,000 and in 1996 awarded its first 10 students with scholarships. Since then we are proud to have awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to over 500 deserving students. Our mission is to continue our legacy to create a path to success for latinos to attend college, obtain higher academic achievements and chase their dreams. The Latino Scholarship Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
