Latinxellence RGV Peer Mentorship Program Details
Latinxellence College Peer Mentorship Program is a non-profit volunteer mentorship program run by undergraduate students from the Rio Grande Valley dedicated to guiding and empowering young high-schoolers from the area. The talent and dedication of local youth has too often been overlooked and underserved. Latinxellence is dedicated to addressing these educational disparities that local youth face when compared to students of other regions. Our program pairs accomplished Latinx college students from the Rio Grande Valley as mentors to Latinx high school youth and aims to uplift these students to achieve both personal and academic goals. Latinxellence mentors are dedicated to educating and empowering their mentees through academic support, college prep, and discussions about the history and current standing of our home, the Rio Grande Valley.
