Latitude Radio is a student-led media organisation broadcasting daily at the University of Greenwich. Giving students the chance to gain hands-on media experience which can be used to build a portfolio. Something that will prove extrmely crucial when getting a job. In today's world, a university degree is no longer enough to get your foot in the door. A person has to go that extra mile. You've got to prove straight away you can do what your degree says it can: having a good degree AND being able to produce actual evidence (for example a voicereel of your shows) of your media-based work can be the difference between gainful employment and a space in the dole queue. A regular slot on student radio not only proves your degree, but that you have the dedication to commit to something over a long period of time. It shows Grit. Dedication and moral character.
