Latvian Chamber (Latvian Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom) exists to serve and support the Latvian business community in the UK through a combination of services, networking and educational activities. It is a registered no dividend private company limited by guarantee.Its secondary purpose is to promote and extend economic relations and trade between Latvia and the UK, and to promote the interests of Latvian business in the UK. The Chamber's original form was Latvian Business Club in the UK that was designed primarily to organise monthly educational and networking events for the Latvians and in London, UK. As globalization of the world economy continues, our mission has expanded to include supporting the business relationships that flourish between the Latvian, British, Russian and other communities in the UK, and to close the cultural gap that hinders complete economic cooperation. Also, it is imperative that our economic leaders embrace social responsibilities and contribute to the community. The Chamber actively encourages its members to develop friendships with leaders in their local community, as well as government officials, by hosting networking events, seminars, symposiums and other activities. Functioning as a not-for-profit organization, Latvian Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom will continue to be the mediator between our two nations and work to achieve the goal of the Chamber's founding members: building economic relationship based on friendship, integrity and cooperation.
