The Laurier Poker Club is a community of students who have a common interest in playing poker. This activity encompassed various skills including time management, critical thinking, and situation assessment. These skills were practiced in a social environment with the necessary equipment provided by the Laurier Poker Club. Poker tournaments were held per term to give students an opportunity to competitively play the game against others while being rewarded for their achievements. Overall, it is the goal of Laurier Poker to give students the means to either learn how to play poker or to provide a way for enthusiasts to gather and play together.
