Hospitality - , Goa, India
Overlooking the ebb and flow of the scintillating Baga creek, you will find Goa in a nutshell at Lazy Lagoon, nestled amidst salt pans that leave a shimmer in your eyes with every sunset saturating it's immaculate mangroves. As you perambulate through the lush property, and stroll across the promenade, you're sure to be instantly enraptured by the immense Goan aura encapsulating this location and space. The lavish suites, garden rooms & superior rooms are scattered across seven buildings, each named after an indigenous flower of Goan soil — Abolim (Crossandra); Mogra (Jasminum); Doshin (hibiscus); Mistis (Nerium); Rosam (Marigold); Perpet (Periwinkle); and Tulsi (Basil). The rooms are modern, yet classy, with an ambient Goan mood to each of them. Mario Miranda inspired caricatures decorate the walls with light-hearted humour; the Spanish influence on the square-tiled flooring is warm and welcoming; and the Portuguese ceilings with wooden beams are sure to instantly captivate your eyes. The doors to every one of these rooms have the skin of sleeper wood from 400-year-old Portuguese era rail tracks. This ebony colour wood along with its rustic texture is intricately incorporated in ceilings of the rooms & and will pleasantly transport you to a bygone era. Around the lush landscape, you will find a piece of Goa in every corner; be it the quaint fishing spot on the promenade, the old era Culvets got in especially from Cancona creating picturesque spots around the property. There's no real need to leave this place, thanks to its familial staff. The Senado hall is grand and perfect for business meetings and myriad celebrations. Os Dez is a perfect meeting set-up for 10 as the name depicts.
