Lynnhaven Colony Congregational UCC is a 150 member church located 3 blocks from the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach VA. Founded as a community church in 1956, when Shore Drive was a 2-lane road, Long Creek Bridge was a 1-lane drawbridge and the first homes were being built in Cape Story by the Sea and Lynnhaven Colony, LCCC has grown from a small cinder block building to become an active center of faith and community activities and home to a caring, state-licensed Child Development Center. Drawing its members from many denominations and religious traditions, LCCC is an open and welcoming congregation. The LCCC Child Development Center (CDC) is directed by Sally Pittman, and has been for over 20 years. Coordinating the efforts of our staff and serving as the face of our CDC in the community, she has over 25 yeas of experience as an early childhood teacher and administrator and holds an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. As mother of ten, Sally brings to her position an incredible depth of "hands on" experience. The LCCC CDC's After School Program is overseen by Danielle (Dani) Brewer.
