Lea Green Learning and Development Centre, part of Derbyshire County Council, is a leading provider of outdoor activity residentials, set in a stunning 25 acre site near to Matlock on the edge of the Peak District. Since becoming a centre of excellence for sport in 1960, schools and academies from across Derbyshire and beyond have benefitted from outdoor education programmes and residentials. The centre is also ideal for youth and community groups, corporate teams, sports clubs and large family groups for:• Outdoor activity residentials • Inclusive activities and accessible accommodation • Group accommodation • Conferences and meetings • Management training and team building • Weddings and parties • Festivals and events Outdoor activities include: ropes courses, climbing challenges, archery, bushcraft, a 3G swing and team games, many activities are accessible and inclusive like the wheelchair abseil and Skyline ropes course with zip wire. Programmes of activities are tailor made for groups to ensure goals and objectives are understood and met. Located in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside under 10 miles from the M1 and in close proximity to Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester the centre is easily accessible by road and rail. A range of accommodation options are available for residential stays; camping, glamping, private hire of the venue and on-site accessible accommodation, Meadow Lodge. The centre sleeps up to 94 people across 20 bedrooms and has a variety of spaces that visiting groups can request to access; sports hall, chill out yurt, potting shed and meeting rooms.
