Leading Families Home is a 501(c)3 charity based in Toledo, Ohio. We serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This is a free, anonymous, and confidential service for Toledo Area residents. All potential shelter residents must call 211 to gain entrance into a Toledo Area shelter.BEACH HOUSE FAMILY SHELTERBeach House Family Shelter was founded in 1921 by Mrs. Helen (Beach) Jones – wife of former Toledo mayor Samuel "Golden Rule" Jones. Working with several local women's organizations, Mrs. Jones helped to establish a shelter for homeless single women and women with children. Due to increased need and to keep families together, in the early 1980's, Beach House began to include homeless intact families and single fathers with children.FOCUS was founded in 1982, based on the tradition of faith and service by several pastors with congregations in the Old West End neighborhood of Toledo, Ohio, in response to growing community needs for services such as longer-term supportive housing, food, and social support.
