For 10 years we have been running an all volunteer registered charity which provides over 80 at-risk Perth teenagers with mentors, role models and positive experiences. Through our program, teens are carefully matched with a volunteer mentor who provides one-on-one support and encouragement to build confidence, nurture personal growth and positively influence their teen at a critical stage in their life.Over the course of the year, our mentor and teens together attend a weekend camp and four Big Day Out events hosted by LYF. Through such events, teens and their mentor partake in a diverse range of fun and challenging activities that help build the relationships as well as provide exciting opportunities that they otherwise may not have had.LYF is distinguished from many other charities in being entirely run and staffed by volunteers, so every dollar raised goes directly to where it can make a difference: www.givenow.com.au/leadingyouthforward
