LeadOff, LLC works to develop leaders of character who operate with an uncompromising standard of excellence in every area of their lives. We do this through experience, execution, and education. ARETE, which stands for Athletes Reaching Excellence Through Experience is our experiential learning platform and consists primarily of offsite retreats at battlefields across the country, using the military staff ride model to maximize experiences and bring leadership lessons from the battlefield to the playing field. These "holistic" retreats include experiential activities, classroom lectures, small group discussions, sunrise physical training, battlefield immersions, collective character nights, combat veteran speakers, and more. In addition, we have a ten-week training program called Team Character Intensive that uses experiential activities and physical training to help athletes develop proper moral habits as well as the leadership skills necessary to lead elite teams. Derived from character strengths as well as elite naval aviation training techniques, our time together focuses on areas including integrity, ownership, commitment, discipline, love, situational awareness, decision-making, communication, adaptability, and mission analysis.
