As a Well-Being Coach I provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space through which clients are able to explore, reflect, create, affirm and move toward holistic well-being. Holistic well-being incorporates the entire person, the physical, mental/emotional, spiritual aspects of the self. My role is to help clients uncover / discover the answers that lie within them. At times, I am a sounding board, sometimes an accountability partner. I may offer practices and techniques and ask questions to help uncover limiting beliefs or co-create practical steps toward the goal of holistic well-being. As a Yoga Instructor, my intention is to help guide people on their path to inner peace, with the tools of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, which include ethical behaviors, self-care practices, control of the breath/pranayama, asanas/physical postures, and meditation. Each yoga class I teach includes Centering, Pranayama/breathwork, Asana/postures and Savasana/relaxation. Pranayama/breathing techniques are an essential part of the yoga practice as they invite nourishing energy into the body, help slow down a busy mind, help us become present and embodied, help improve the immune system and regulate the nervous system. Asanas/physical postures nourish the physical body and mind as well. They get our energy or prana/lifeforce, and other vital fluids flowing within, help us stretch soft tissues, strengthen muscles and bones, develop and maintain mobility, balance and focus, and so much more.Savasana, the final pose of each practice, helps the body/mind relax, process the yoga practice and settle the nervous system.
