One-on-one tutoring allows for complete focus on the specific needs of a single student. Many children thrive on this undivided attention that is hard to obtain in a classroom setting. I am a licensed Elementary School Teacher with a Masters in Education. I offer private one-on-one tutoring in reading, writing, math, and homework help for students in Pre-K - 8th grade. Sessions are available both in-person and online.As a one-on-one tutor, I assess each of my students to determine where they need support and how I can best support them. I use tools, materials, and personalized lessons that focus on the student's specific needs. I create exciting and engaging lessons to fit different learning styles, making certain each child is getting the support required for success. Through the belief that a student's abilities can grow and develop and that one's intelligence is not innately fixed, children demonstrate an increased likelihood to take risks and pursue challenges. My focus as an educator is to inspire students to possess a growth mindset and maximize their learning in and out of the classroom.
