Research - Clemson, South Carolina, United States
The Learning Buildings Research Group (LBRG) is housed in the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. The research focus is on quantifying the adaptability of buildings -- how easily buildings can be modified to suit new needs. Our long-term goal is to develop tools that architects and engineers can use to design adaptable buildings. We are partnering with architects, engineers, and contractors to collect data about past building projects, which will be analyzed to determine what physical features of buildings make adaptation likely. Please visit our website for more information. If you are a professional who is interested in getting involved with our research, please contact us according to the "Contact" page of our website.Links (copy into browser bar):Learning Buildings Research Group Page: http://www.learningbuildings.comNSF Award page: https://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward?AWD_ID=1553565&HistoricalAwards=falseGlenn Department of Civil Engineering: https://www.clemson.edu/cecas/departments/ce/
