Lebone Foundation is a change-inspired project. Our main focus is to improve the lives of girls through an approach to holistic learning focused on academic excellence, creative expression as well as self-development. The program aims to expose young girls to life as well as opportunities within and beyond the townships in which they come from. Lebone Foundation aims to socialise girls differently. It is a group of passionate volunteers who are willing to be mentors/big-sisters to young girls. These mentors provide personalised tutoring, emotional support, and, essentially become encouraging role models to girls who are usually discouraged by society and the world's system. The organization exposes the girls to creative spaces that they have never entered before so that they can live out the truest expressions of themselves. We equip them with academic knowledge, soft-skills, knowledge of self as well as skills beyond those recommended by classroom settings so that they can be eligible for better opportunities. Better opportunities will help groom them into future engineers, future dancers, future presidents and ensure that the African continent takes full advantage of the growing youth demographic.
