LeCocq works in assemblage sculpture, combining different elements into a unified whole. She takes elements, natural or man-made, and unites them to create an entirely different form, a unified whole, allowing the viewer to see the materials in a new light, to question the relationships of the materials and the materials themselves. "I usually use things that most people discard, making art out of the trash of others, the ultimate re-use recycler", states LeCocq. One NYC art critic wrote, "LeCocq's vision makes incongruent parts into a whole new being that transports the viewer to new depths of discovery."
