Karen is a seasoned architect with exceptional leadership and creative skills. She has proven ability to lead collaborative teams, to coordinate constituent goals and successfully complete projects of the highest standard. Her work has garnered numerous design awards and research fellowships. AIA recognized works include the Bridgehampton Library, E.180th Station / Morris Park Headhouse restoration,and Nike European Headquarters, the latter with William McDonough + Partners. Other recognized projects include the Kitchen Theatre, Asia Society and the Riant Cultural Center. Urban scale public work such as the architectural design leadership for the public spaces within the $8.4BEast Side Access NYC project; the restoration of the 4/5 historic subway platform and other high end design projects within the Fulton Transit Center, and the role of (Associate) Partner-in-Charge for the $200m Newark Liberty International Airport, Terminal B restack and renovation.She has participated in the design of many high end, houses and interior renovation projects.Karen has taught architecture at GSFA, University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Temple University in Rome, Italy. Presently, she is a visiting juror at Pratt Institute of Architecture. Karen's work has been exhibited at the GSFA and published in periodicals and academic journals including Architecture Week, Building Design and Construction, Environmental Design and Construction, Interiors, Architectural Review, the New York Times Magazine and the Ithaca Journal.
