Leeds Indian Student Association (ISA) being one of the largest cultural societies in Northern England, aims at giving the opportunity to Leeds students from various ethnicities the essence of the Indian culture. Since its inception in 2007, it is one of the largest cultural society in Northern England with an ever-growing member base. India is a land of "Unity in diversity". And we try to achieve this by conducting various events that brings a state of togetherness in-spite of the presence of immense diversity. Our events include: • Chai and Chaat; a meet and greet icebreaker social• Karaoke Night; collaborated with VIBES Bollywood Dance Society with songs of your choice. • Dhamakedaar Diwali; day and night event to celebrate the festival of lights • International Buffet; fundraising event collaborating with the Law Society • World Unite Festival; fashion show, dance performance and music showcasing the Indian culture. • Otley Run; involving the British culture to encourage diversity• Cultural Cooks; a full-course meal prepared by the committee for members to relish the traditional flavors of India• Sports socials; Football, Cricket and badminton • Raang Barse; one of our signature event (Holi Festival)• Bollywood Nights; ISA's night outs for those who love dancing to Bollywood's greatest hits • Bar Tab; free event for all members at the end of the yearHaving lived up to the expectations of our members and the Union, we have won the Best Cultural Society two times in a row at the Riley Smith Awards, LUU.
