Leeds Male Voice Choir is a vibrant and dynamic choir men performing throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. As a registered charity the choir aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men.Formed in 1916 at Middleton Broom Colliery in South Leeds, the choir has a proud heritage and has been enjoying tremendous growth in recent years with a large influx of new members and increasing audiences. The addition of new members has broadened the age range with many younger voices blending with mature voices within the choir, creating a noticeably richer sound. Lead by Musical Director Tim Knight, performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces. The choir selects a diverse range of music which is both familiar and new to audiences enabling them to touch on as many different styles and genres as possible.Registered charity number 1159299.
