Lemurian Labs is developing the SPU (Spatial Processing Unit), an affordable AI inference accelerator uniquely designed from the ground up to deliver unprecedented performance/watt and enable the next generation of AI workloads at the edge, ranging from autonomous vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, industrial robots, healthcare robots, search and rescue robots, to space robots. The SPU utilizes our patent pending novel arithmetic to speed up matrix-vector computations - which are core to modern day AI - beyond the capabilities of ordinary fixed point cores. We are also developing a platform that simplifies the process of deploying deep learning models into edge applications and managing them once they are there through a unified set of tools.
