Leo Club, the youth organization of Lions Clubs International, has been established to develop and nurture the youth of this world, so as to ensure a better tomorrow. The main aim of a Leo Club, apart from providing assistance to its parent Lions Club, is to organize events that would help in not only enhancing the knowledge and development of today's youth, but also solidifying their character by instilling virtues of leadership and experience.With this aspiration, Leo Club of Calcutta Downtown was chartered on 9th June 1986. It is the youth wing of the Lions Club of Calcutta North. Over the past years, Leo Downtown is the only club of India to be awarded eight excellency award from Lion International and has turned out to be one of the best clubs in the Leo District 322B1.Leo Downtown has had various perennial projects throughout such as Anaaj Daan, Annual Tarkeshwar pilgrimage service, service for blind school etc.
