Lewes Drama Collective (LDC) comprises of a welcoming group of stage and screen acting enthusiasts from all walks of life who meet each week to develop their skills under the guidance of professionally trained performing arts tutor, Tim Rowland. Tim trained at Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and has worked as a professional performer, writer and director for over 20 years. He has written and directed a plethora of shows, from original comedy productions to multimedia performances, his ability to bring a script to life is propelling and infectious. Launched in 2018 for people of all abilities over the age of 18, LDC offers students an inspiring wealth of directing and production experience that will be delivered through practical yet dynamic specialist acting exercises and focused drama workshops.From beloved classic Shakespearean sonnets to popular stage productions from the world's leading theatres, LDC's learning process is not only inspired by Commedia dell'arte but also includes techniques loved by stars and crafted by the likes of Constantin Stanislavski, Anton Chekhov and Viola Spolin.Inspired by traditional and contemporary methods, students will explore the world of performing arts in a didactic environment that will enable all to achieve their best whilst progressing their acting proficiencies in…- Explore script rhythm, sound and imagery- Vocalisation - Script and text evaluation- Studying and understanding scenes - Character analysis and development- Movement and interpretation- Improvisation and devising own pieces- Monologue delivery- Group and individual feedback- Backstage management- Theatre productionWith a fresh, dedicated and passionate attitude, LDC's talented cast will revel in the opportunity to showcase their abilities and be part of timely and refreshing productions for audiences in Lewes and performing arts spaces in Sussex.
