The Lewis Central Education Foundation was established as a way for the alumni, district residents, and supports to give back to the school district. We are focused on classroom grants for district teachers, scholarships for graduating seniors, and special projects that enhance the learning opportunities for our students! The members of the board appreciate your support interest in our mission and look forward to your support! The Lewis Central Foundation exists to assist students to grow in their educational development by both providing scholarships to those choosing to expand their knowledge in post-secondary education and providing grants to teachers for projects in their classroom. Over the past several years those goals have been exciting and rewarding for the board. In the last five years we have provided $20,500 in Foundation scholarships, $27,000 in classroom grants and dispersed $88,400 in other scholarships. The Foundation itself was able to provide five scholarships at $1,000 a piece for the graduating seniors of 2018. Just a few of the projects we have funded through classroom grants has been a 3-D printer, camera equipment for the journalism department, summer book bags for the reading program at Kreft and the Maker Space project at Titan Hill.
