Who We AreHere at Lex Tex" Called to Adventure" isn't a tag line we thought of one day that sounded cool and might boost sales. A call to adventure is a trait shared by our founders and the motivation behind the creation of this enterprise. The desire to explore and take risks is what started our company and what drives it today. Here at Lex Tex, we want to inspire people to chase their adventure no matter what it looks like. Whether it's mountain climbing in the Rockies or starting a business in Central Kentucky; deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico or leaving your home in Philadelphia to pursue an opportunity in West Texas. Our heart is to chase our adventures and inspire others to chase their own. We hope one of our hats can accompany and encourage you as you seek YOUR adventure. Lex Tex Hat Co was started by Kendall McKee and Tim Bickel, two young entrepreneurs brought together by a funky church plant in downtown Lexington, KY. From the start of their friendship, our two founders fed off each other's energy and passion to simply do and to be "all in" on whatever came their way. One Thanksgiving when both founders couldn't make it back to their hometowns Kendall and his wife invited Tim and some other friends over to celebrate. It was there that the idea of new and unique hat company with an even more unique drive and vision first came to be and it was the desire to explore and take risks that kept the idea growing and got Lex Tex to where we are today. Today, Lex Tex Hat Co sells hats nationwide. From the very start, $3 of every sale has gone to a local ministry in Lexington. Here at Lex Tex, we believe that one of the greatest adventures we are called to is living generously and motivating others to do the same.
