Lexington Ballet was founded in 1974 in Lexington, KY with a mission to inspire audiences, educate through dance, and cultivate arts in the community.The Lexington Ballet performs throughout the season at Lexington Opera House and EKU Center for the Arts, as well as other venues throughout Kentucky. A free Gallery Series is held at Artsplace during the LexArts HOP. Lexington Ballet School holds year-round youth and adult classes at the studios in Artsplace. All abilities are welcome and need-based scholarships are available. No auditions are needed.Educational arts programs, free community events, and special matinee performances are scheduled throughout the season for schools, nonprofits, and community groups.
