The mission of Liberation Station is to nurture, sustain, & mobilize individuals, faith communities, neighborhoods, & civic, corporate, & philanthropic leaders to address critical needs of human & social justice within local, national, & global communities. Liberation Station seeks to strengthen the individual & collective goals of spiritual & material liberation for all people through solidarity, advocacy, service, spiritual practice & the celebration of creation. We offer Liberation through:Solidarity: "Standing as witnesses that we are all one family in the world. We seek to build a community that empowers everyone to attain their full potential through each of us respecting each other's dignity, rights & responsibilities in pursuit of making the world a better place to live.Advocacy: Standing beside, interceding & defending on behalf of others with an urgency, persistence & insistence that actions & beliefs which negate the dignity of anyone conflicts with the teachings & will of God. Spiritual Practice: Standing with the wounded while acknowledging we are a community where wounded healers serve in building meaningful relationships that promote healthy self-esteem. People are free to explore what is means to endure brokenness in their quest to embrace authentic liberation.Service: Standing with & affirming the fundamental insistence of the dignity of the human person, a dignity based on the belief that human beings, male & female, all races, all sexual identities, all economic conditions, all national origins, all forms of ableness, are made in the image of God. We identify with the notion of radical inclusion rooted in scriptures that illustrate the relationship between neighbors. "I was hungry, & you gave me food; I was thirsty, & you gave me drink; I was a stranger & you made me welcome. . .." (Mt. 25:31-46Celebration of Creation: We stand in solidarity with the earth by affirming the interrelationships of religion & nature & environmental concerns.
