Licence Bureau was the first company to provide a business solution to the issue of checking driving licences in the UK. The process was created using the DVLA database in 2003 and endorsed in 2004 when the Health and Safety Executive launched a document called ‘Driving at Work'. In 2014 Licence Bureau launched the web portal Compliance Managed Services (CMS) which allows you to assess, check and improve your drivers quickly and efficiently on-line via bespoke alerts driven exception management. CMS has been a great success and won the "Fleet World Innovation in Risk Management 2015" award. It is vital that all employees who drive at work have valid driving licences and entitlement. A business must meet its duty of care obligation surrounding drivers at work ensuring that in the event of a collision both the driver and business are fully insured. Our experience shows 5.3 per 1000 drivers (1 in 188) reducing to 3.2 (1 in 312) after intervention are a risk as they are disqualified, revoked or have a provisional or expired licence etc. Risk Excellence is the next step in acting upon those risks and providing resolution to the issues. The risk assessment service takes into account whether you are a car, van or lorry driver and asks you specific questions that provide a risk profile. The system then provides an individual e learning programme of up to 20 modules to reinforce learning measures.
