The Licensed Vintners Association (LVA) is the trade association and representative body for the publicans of Dublin. Established in 1817, the LVA is over 200 years old, making it oldest trade association in Ireland.The LVA is a membership-based organisation and is funded by membership subscriptions.With approximately 600 members, including some of the most successful and visionary publicans in the country, collectively the LVA represent over 75% of all pubs in Dublin and Bray. LVA members collectively sell more than a quarter of all the alcohol sold through the licensed trade in Ireland and play a pivotal role in the business, social and cultural life of our capital city.The LVA campaigns continuously on strategic issues of critical importance to the future of the licensed trade in Dublin. Our current priorities are dominated by our response to Covid-19 and our engagement with Government on this unprecedented challenge. In addition, we represent our members views with Government across a range of issues from licensing reform to alcohol taxation to improving the business environment for our sector. We also provide a range of tailored members services. The LVA is run by Dublin publicans for Dublin publicans.
