Lichfield RUFC is community amateur sports club (CASC) and we are immensely proud of all that this status implies. i.e. in being both a club for the local community and the fact that we are able to continue to produce players from that community who can acquit themselves well in the highest levels of the rugby pyramid that amateur players can realistically achieve.This pride primarily comes from seeing the numbers and the skills of the players at the club. Players that, in the vast majority of cases, have developed those skills through our own junior sections. We are very proud of the fact that our junior teams continue to provide most of the players that maintain and develop the standards of the senior teams AND that we are able to keep those players without having to pay them to play. Their enjoyment comes from the team spirit, the camaraderie of the club, the facilities we can offer and of course from winning what are always very competitive games.
