Life Choice has been a trusted advocate for community inclusion, respect and valuing of people with a disability on the Fraser Coast since 1996. Our aim is to assist our participants in the pursuit of their life choices, either in their own home or the community, to enable greater quality of life experiences.Our individual lifestyle plans and increasing range of support services ensures we meet the changing needs of participants, new and existing, and their families. Through support services including in home assistance, accommodation support and everyday life skill development our 100+ staff provide positive, and rewarding experiences in line with the life choices of each of our participants.The Hive (Maryborough) and The Hub (Hervey Bay) are the heartbeat of Life Choice. A relaxed, friendly environment designed to provide opportunities for skill development, catching up with other people, sharing between participants, support staff, volunteers, and interested members of the public. Everyday Learning Opportunities, such as Cooking, Craft, Words & Numbers and Photography, keeps these environments buzzing with activity.For participants with a flair for design and construction, The Shed (Maryborough) provides opportunities for hands on learning in a fully functional workshop facility. Known widely for the ‘Pallet Products' such as coffee tables, wine racks and picture frames, participants are encouraged to design and construct their own wood work projects.
