LifeCrate is a non-profit, volunteer-based service that delivers subsidized food crates to low-income Torontonians aged 65 and older so as to keep them safe during the coronavirus pandemic. For many elderly Torontonians, it is simply not affordable to have food delivered to their home, nor is it entirely safe for them to go grocery shopping.LifeCratesX is LifeCrates' partnership program, through which we work with community organizations to put together their own food aid programs. We offer to consult on overall strategy, the procuring of food, facilitating assembly and delivery, and aiding with communications and fundraising. LifeCratesX is available for community organizations regardless of what type of vulnerable population they service, so long as you operate in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
