Established in 2004, Lifeline remains the one and only English speaking crisis helpline service in Mainland China. We operate as a 100% volunteer based social enterprise.Since our inception, Lifeline has grown to become a highly respected essential community service, working closely with mental health professionals and organizations, community services, consulates, schools, colleges and medical providers.Our dedicated trained volunteers provide 12 hours/day of emotional support incorporating both a telephone service along with a Live Chat service. The volunteering spirit is active and professional. We have been fortunate to tap into talented professionals who have dedicated their time and skills to take us forward with training and education programs, community awareness initiatives, and importantly, raising awareness of the importance of mental health in the community.At Lifeline we believe that mental health is crucial to well-being and a healthy lifestyle and that every individual has the right to be listened to in an anonymous, confidential environment.Lifeline supports the World Health Organization statement : "There is no health without mental health".
