The Light upon Light Women's Foundation has a vision of developing youth. nurturing families. building communities. At the crux of all this, is the wellbeing of women and youth and it is where we focus our attention.We provide:- Self-Development Workshops- Spiritual Development Workshops- Resilience Master Class- Professional Muslimah Master Class- Youth Master ClassDeveloping Youth: Our youth need good companionship. They need to be heard, and felt they are not alone. For this they need role models and mentorship. We are committed to investing our time and money in a group of young women who can be these role models. We are running a Youth Master Class for young women. These sisters are lights and already have great intentions of making positive impact on our community. By developing and supporting them, we can make systemic changes as they will be the ones who can truly impact our youth. Nurturing Families The women are the lights of the home - she is the first madrassa of the next generation. Her wellness is imperative to the wellness of the family and community. This is why our core offering is workshops for women, offering them a place of learning, sisterhood and personal growth. Attendee feedback: "For a long time, I felt an imbalance in my life which I initially attributed to work/life stress assuming that if I can get the ‘perfect balance' I would be realigned again. It was not until I joined the workshops that I realized my focus was ill-placed. These classes stimulated beneficial change in my life, where the adoption of these tangible practices was necessary.""These workshops are a light in the dark days of the pandemic when we are trying to keep our hearts alive."Building Communities We provide development and learning opportunities for a group of women working in the Cape Flats. Our aim is to develop the teachers who work with youth in these impoverished areas so they can serve their community from a strong internal space.
